The Hayter Harrier 48 Autodrive E/S is driven by a powerful 190cc Briggs & Stratton 650-Series engine with a stress-busting electric starter. As with all B & S engines, the 650-Series models offer impressive fuel-economy; smooth, low-noise operation; and superior long-term reliability.

The ground-speed on the Harrier 48 Autodrive can be varied in infinite increments between 1.5 and 3mph. This not only aids manoeuvrability, as you can slow down when negotiating obstacles; but also allows you operate at the most effective pace for the grass-type and weather-conditions.

Impressively durable, the Hayter Harrier 48 Autodrive E/S Lawnmower is built around a rust-resistant aluminium chassis and runs on long-lasting ball-bearing wheels (bearing mounted wheels won’t stiffen up with age, as can happen with bush-mounted wheels). It’s equipped with a cutter-bar friction-disc, which brings with it a lifetime guarantee against crankshaft bending; and it features hardwearing poly deck-liner, which improves the quality of cut, while also reducing blade-noise.

In order to ensure you can deal with changing grass-types and weather conditions, Hayter have equipped this model with a wide-ranging seven-stage height-of-cut (13 – 60mm) that’s adjustable using a single counterbalanced lever. It’s fitted with a high-capacity 70-litre grassbag, which ensures you’ll be able to get lots done between emptying-stops; and it has a safety-enhancing OPC (‘deadman’s handle’) that eliminates any chance of accidental injury.

Other notable features include a split differential rear-roller for increased traction and scuff-free turning; and a folding handlebar for more compact transport and storage.
