This compact cordless arborist’s chainsaw from Scandinavian garden machinery experts, Stiga, showcases latest-generation lithium-ion battery technology, and will therefore give you the cutting-power of petrol, but with none of the associated drawbacks (noise, fumes, starting-problems, weight, vibration, etc.).

The seriously powerful 48v battery-pack – available separately – drives a Stiga brushless motor that produces impressive amounts of torque; and which will prove far more efficient and far longer lasting than lower-spec brushed units.

The Stiga SPR 500 AE 48v Cordless Top-Handled Chainsaw has a 30cm guide-bar with a premium, low-profile chain, which delivers excellent cutting-performance.

Automatic chain-oiling keeps things running smoothly at all times and minimises wear on key parts; a fast-acting chain brake and kick-back-limiting sprocket-nose bar mean it ticks all the boxes in terms of user-safety.

Also featured is an easy-read transparent chain-oil reservoir; straightforward side-screw chain tensioning; and robust magnesium gearing.

Battery and charger sold separately – 4Ah ePower E440 recommended.
