The Stiga PH 700e 48v Cordless Long-Reach Hedgetrimmer comes as standard with a charger and 2Ah battery, with the battery compatible with all the machine's in Stiga's comprehensive 48v line.

Not only far more durable than their lower-tech lead-acid and ni-cad counterparts, lithium-ion cells also charge faster and offer far longer runtimes. Equally essential to their appeal is the lack spontaneous discharge, which means they hold their charge when not in use.

Comfortable, versatile and capable of being set-up to suit any hedge and any user, the Stiga PH 700e Long-Reach Battery Hedgetrimmer combines a soft-grip handle with a telescopic shaft, a six-stage pivoting cutter-bar and Stiga’s VCS vibration-damping system.

It features a pair of expansive 50cm laser-cut blades, which are double-sided and dual reciprocating for superior productivity and a clean cut; and it’s delivered with a shoulder harness that distributes some of the minimal machine-weight (5kg) over the operator's body to make work less tiring.

The motor and battery on the Stiga PH 700e are positioned to act as an ideal counterbalance, thereby optimising manoeuvrability and ensuring precision results.

Also of note is the generous 34mm tooth spacing, which means the blades will take thicker growth – up to 26mm in diameter – in their stride.
