The Oleo-Mac Max 53TK has been developed not only for commercial contractors, but also homeowners seeking a lawnmower with professional-grade features; performance; and build-quality.
Driving it is one of the most powerful engines to be found on any walk-behind mower; the 196cc Emak K800. A four-stroke overhead-valve type unit, this power-pack offers fantastic fuel-economy; a pleasingly quiet engine-tone; and smooth, low-vibration operation.
Combining a wide 51cm cut with a rear-wheel power-drive and a high-volume 75-litre grass-collector, the Oleo-Mac Max 53TK Professional Lawn Mower will enable you to cover an expansive area speedily and with very little effort expended.
It’s built around an aluminium chassis, so years of rust-free service are guaranteed; and it’s been fitted with a mulching-blade that works to maximise available space in the hard-topped grassbag (a mulch-plug is included, allowing you to recycle clippings where conditions suit).
The height-of-cut on this model is infinitely variable for a ‘just so’ finish, and is easily controlled by a knob positioned at the front of the machine (many less well-equipped machines have a time-consuming multi-lever adjustment system). -

First Use Review I ordered the Efco equivalent machine on line and was contacted by Mowdirect within the hour to be told it was out of stock but this was the same machine with a different badge. Arrived by courier the next day and I had it assembled and in use an hour later.
Purchaser needs to provide oil for the machine. I particularly wanted a corrosion resistant deck as I live near the coast.
It is a powerful machine and cut my very long and thick grass with ease.. The controls are very simple and the grass box is easily fitted and removed for emptying. Meets all the advertising claims exactly. Easy to push along and the self propulsion works without loss of cutting performance, although the pace is a little slow. Starts first pull and is reasonably quiet. Single knob height adjustment is very convenient.
Comes with a mulch plug that I have yet to use.
Overall, this seems to be a robust machine with few frills but cuts grass efficiently at a reasonable cost.
