The extra wide cutting width (51cm / 20”) and powerful 196cc engine on the Efco LR53-TK make it suitable for larger sized gardens. The Over Head Valve (OHV) design on the engine ensures lower emissions and improved fuel efficiency. It also delivers high levels of torque enabling you to tackle longer grass.
The Efco LR53-TK petrol lawn mower has a quality steel deck with powder coated paint finish for added durability. The height of cut can be varied quickly and easily between 28 - 75 mm via a single lever height adjuster. Okay, But Watch for Oil Drain BoltReview by Bob / (Posted on 18/06/2015)This mower is okay, but beware when it comes to an oil change, as the drain plug bolt is too long and impinges on the deck for the last couple of thread turns. The angle of the deck relative to the bolt head then forces the bolt upwards and damages the aluminium threads in the engine block. You will then need to saw about 3mm off the bolt to get it back in, and be very careful not to cross thread it due to the now damaged threads.
Alternatively remove the blade and the engine from the deck and then remove the drain plug bolt and shorten it, but what a palaver just to change the oil.
Pros: Cuts grass quite well. Fairly easy to manouvre.Cheaper than other self propelled mowers. Large grass bag.
Cons: Awful assembly and user manuals. Slow mowing speed. No oil drain channel in deck, just spews oil over the deck. Oil drain plug too long and impinges on the deck.

The build quality is good, my only concern is that the brackets the handle is attached to could be a bit stronger. Overall this is a mower that I would highly recommend.Features

Started well from new. A few pulls to get the oil round and a fiddle with the choke lever which is not that well explained in the manual.
The height adjustment lever is a bit hit and miss, a bit flimsy so it bends away from chassis holes, needs something a bit more substantial in keeping with rest of build as the weight of the mower works against the lever.
Overall good product but heavier than I imagined to use, fortunately powerful motor pulls it round OK.Features

Works wellReview by Sal Mancina / (Posted on 24/06/2014)This appears to be the same machine as the Oleo-Mac G53-TK. The only difference I can see is the colour. But that was out of stock and I needed a replacement mower quickly so I ordered this one.
Delivery was rapid and the mower fired up at the first pull after filling with petrol and oil. The mulch plug arrived separately. If you have the choice, get the Oleo-Mac as at the moment it is £10 less even when paying for a mulch plug - £20 less if you don't want a mulch plug.
I have given 4 stars for features as it was advertised as having a 196cc engine but arrived with a 159cc engine. When I queried this I was told there had had been a change in spec, and I see that the advert has now been changed to reflect this.
Performance is fine and it is more powerful than my old Mountfield.Features

Good valueReview by Alan Munro / (Posted on 12/06/2014)The mower was delivered as promised. I took it out of the box, assembled it in 15 mins filled it with oil and petrol, pulled the cord once and it started.
It cuts grass, it works just fine and the only small niggle is that the plastic grass box does not latch onto the shaft on the mower without stretching the lugs on the box apart about 1/2 an inch. No doubt with use the grass in the box will force the lugs further apart and they will latch on to the shaft without a stretch.
Powerfull engine which helps cutting grass on a slope which I have in my garden.Features
