This really reliable ride-on has great manoeuvrability with the rear wheels following the exact path of the front ones so there is no way the rear of the machine can catch any obstructions.
There are ten cutting heights from 25 to 85 mm and it is designed not to scalp the lawn if it is undulating.
The cutting deck is engaged via and foot pedal and the four wheel drive and hydrostatic transmission gives precise speed control.
There is servo assist on the steering giving it a lighter feel and the engine is from Briggs & Stratton designed to produce less vibration and a long life.
Two cutting decks are available, either 95 cm for £540 or 105 cm for £595.
Cutting are either ejected at the rear or mulched. And again a White Glove delivery service is available if you live in England or Wales, giving you a demonstration of the machine when it is delivered, – and the delivery is free within five to eight days.
The manufacturer’s recommended price is £2855 but we have it for £2604 and there is a three year warranty.
For larger gardens and parks: Stiga Park Pro 25 ride-on mower
This one has a 688 cm twin cylinder Honda engine giving great power and has been designed to be economical on fuel.
Cutting widths are from 95 mc to 125 cm and there is choice on manual or electronic adjustments.
It will not scalp the lawn and is ideal for cutting under low tree branches.
It has other great features as well like a high-backed seat with proper suspension, power steering and even cruise control.
Headlights keep you working in the dusk and a 14 litre fuel tank means you can work for even longer periods.
This model has a full delivery service with a demonstration on delivery which is free and between five and eight days after ordering.
It costs £7290 compared with the manufacturer’s price of £8635 and has three year warranty from Stiga.
