Hints & Tips
If gardens all had square or rectangular lawns then life would be so much easier, but for those with trees and ponds and ornaments, mowing lawns can be quite a challenge negotiating tighter turns and can be very time-consuming with a conventional ride-on or lawn tractor.
And that’s where the Toro Timecutter Zero Turn machines come into their own as they turn on themselves and are remarkably easy to control.
This means that they can make the tightest turns around trees and ponds so there is no necessity to reverse back and forth to cut close to the obstacles.
As you can see, the Toro ZS3200S Timecutter Zero-Turn Ride-On Mower is controlled by a pair of levers to give precise steering.
It has dual hydro static drive which gives very smooth drive and acceleration and very precise speed control.
The levers are covered with thick padding to make it comfortable to drive.
The engine is a professional Toro 15 hp model, 452 cc, and designed for a hard long life and it is fitted with a 81cm wide cutter deck with cutting heights from 38 mm up to 113 mm.
You can buy a grass bagging system and the machine can also be used to discharge longer grass to the side.
A comfortable seat means it can be driven for long periods – and there is a very large fuel tank.
We deliver it for free within three to five working days and there is a full hand-over surface to explain the mower to you.
It costs £2325, over £270 off the maker’s recommended price and has a three year warranty from Toro.
This is the first lawn mower in the Zero Turn line of similar machines which have great appeal to professionals in charge of large parks and gardens, but these are increasingly popular with home owners who have large, irregularly shaped gardens with trees.
Their top of the range machine is the Toro ZX5420 Titan Zero-Turn Riding Mower powered by a 24 hp Kawasaki making it a machine for large estates.
This too has dual-hydro drive regulated through drive levers giving zero turn ability. The cutting deck on this model is 137 cm and it has a bumper to protect it from accidents. And anti-scalp wheels mean you wont take the surface off the undulations as you drive along.
This is a real sturdy machine built on a steel frame with wide tyres for excellent traction.
It has a roll bar which can fold down if you need to drive under low trees and the cutting height is controlled with a foot pedal.
A mulch plug is included in the price and a twin bagging grass collector is available as an optional extra.
It costs £5199, £500 less than Toro’s recommended retail price and is delivered free within five to seven working days.
There is a three year maker’s warranty.
