Hints & Tips
The simplest way to clear away leaves which are falling in greater masses every day is a lawn vac.
These great little machines work just like the vac in your own home and can deal with all manner of debris as well as wet leaves which can be difficult to shift when they are walked on and become compacted.
So here are two great leaf vacs, German engineered by leading garden machinery company Al-Ko, and great value for money.
The Al-Ko 75BA Hurricane Wheeled Vacuum has great suction from its 140 cc engine which has the maker’s Quick Start System. And the air turbine housing and hose made from powder coated steel.
The operating width is a generous 75 cm.
And a 700 litre collection bag which is supplied with the vac is easily emptied as it has a zip and there are four heights so you can choose the optimum one to suite the surface you are cleaning.
You can buy a hose kit with this machine for getting in to the difficult-to-reach-crevices for £120.
This great little worker costs £375 compared with Al-Ko’s recommended retail price of £399.
It has a two year guarantee and free next working day delivery.
The Al-Ko Hurricane 750B Lawn Vacuum / Leaf Sweeper with a Briggs & Stratton 158 cc engine is a great performing machine with easy starting, great fuel economy and reliability.
This one has a 200 litre heavy duty nylon collection bag and a 75 cm working width.
There are four pre-set working heights and again there is a hose kit available for £120 which lets you tackle the difficult-to-reach bits.
This one costs £459, £30 less than the maker’s recommended retail price and has a two year manufacturer’s warranty.
Delivery is free the next working day.
