Alan Titchmarsh will no longer host the BBC's coverage of the Chelsea Flower Show (CFS), according to the broadcaster.
Garden lovers across the UK came to adore the chirpy tone of Mr Titchmarsh, who was perhaps most famous for his work on the Gardener's World show, but the veteran will now make way for a new-look presenting team that includes Monty Don and Sophie Raworth.
A BBC spokesperson thanked the 64-year-old for his service and added: "The way the Chelsea [Flower Show] coverage will be presented across the BBC has changed for 2014, and Alan decided to step away from next year's show."
Viewers will, from next year onwards, be treated to live coverage and a more thorough programme that will cover all aspects of the show, as well as the latest and greatest planting innovations.
Mr Titchmarsh said he has enjoyed his 30-year stint of presenting the CFS and wished the new team well.
