It is a dual stage snow blower, first gathering the snow and ice in with revolving metal-toothed augurs before the second stage cuts in, blasting it clear thanks to a powerful impellor.
The engine is a 277 cc Snow Thor X model, specifically designed to work in freezing conditions across its 53 cm width and the machine is powered forward via four forward gears. There are two reverse gears which are useful in restricted areas.
The working height of 53 cm means it can deal with deeper snow falls and the front snow skids can be adjusted depending on the surface for are clearing.
Chunky tyres give excellent grip and controls on the instrument panel include a two-way joystick to rotate the exit chute and alter the pitch at which the snow is blown clear.
The engine starts with a key and there is a headlight to keep you going when it gets murky.
