A summer garden party is being hosted at the Royal Horticultural Society's Garden Hyde Hall, which is situated near Chelmsford.
The event will be held from June 29th to 30th and it will incorporate a very special exhibition that takes a nostalgic look back on some of the very best of British gardening.
It takes the form of an overview of the past 100 years of the iconic RHS Chelsea Flower Show – but the weekend will not be entirely dedicated to marking the past.
Some radical contemporary African sculpture by Guruve will be on show throughout the grounds – and there is also plenty on offer for the little ones.
As well as the kind of activities usually associated with the beach – like Punch & Judy shows and donkey rides – there will also be paper-making sessions, a teddy bear's hospital, the Higgledy Hyde play tower and garden games for all the family to participate in.
