Alan Titchmarsh – celebrity gardener and national treasure – is set to launch a dedicated online gardening TV channel in collaboration with supermarket chain Waitrose.
He will be on hand to give hints and tips about the pastime to green-fingered enthusiasts and gardening professionals alike.
This comes shortly after Titchmarsh underlined the importance of doing more to make gardening appeal to the nation's youth – urging an industry-wide focus on the high degree of job satisfaction and wealth of opportunities horticulture can bring about.
He said that he is very excited to be involved in the new online campaign – as well as the chance to work in the dedicated Waitrose garden.
Titchmarsh suggested that it offers an exciting new way to share his passion and knowledge of gardening with viewers.
"It's a unique idea for a supermarket to launch its own garden and it really gives me the freedom to show how a garden changes throughout the year with the seasons." he commented.
