The Greenworks G-MAX 40v Cordless Long Reach Hedge Trimmer (22147T – Tool Only) has plenty of cuttiing power to trim hedge tops and high hedges and has a running time of 75 minutes. And it takes only 120 minutes to charge the battery.
It has a pivoting cutting head with seven positions and can cope with cuttings up to18 mm. This makes it particularly suitable for difficult hedges with sloping sides and crenelated tops.
It weighs just 3.3 kg and has a telescopic reach from 2.4 to 3.6 metres.
The battery and charger are available separately and the battery will last for 2000 cycles and can be charged at any time without any negative effect.
Also the battery gives even power throughout its charge with no fading.

An ordinary hedgetrimmer, the Greenworks G-MAX 40v Cordless with twist handle 22637T – Tool Only is light and easy to use, must more simple than a patrol powered one and yet have around the same working power.
This is much quieter and less tiring to use as well and has a continuous run time of up to 65 minutes.
It has double reciprocating 61 cm blades and can cut twigs up to 2 cm thick.
The rear handle rotates through 90 degrees to give greater options when cutting tops and sides of hedges and the handles have soft grips to reduce vibrations.
The 40 volt GMAX battery is for sale separately and once bought can be used on other Greenworks garden machinery like strimmers and long-reach pruners.
It costs £69, but remember this is for the tool only.
