A wide range of highly exotic plants have been highlighted as part of the 2013 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Orchid and Botanical Art Show, which ran at the end of last week (April 11th to 12th).
Gardening professionals have so much choice when it comes to selecting a plant to introduce to their green space and nurture with garden tools, that it can be very difficult to make a decision.
However, keeping an eye on garden shows can be a great source of inspiration – and this RHS art show is no different.
Burnham's selection of mixed orchid of the season was just one example of the variety of these displays.
French exhibitor Vacherot & Lecoufle won an award for most creative exhibit, with a display that showed off fine clones bred by the nursery alongside imaginative props and colours.
"The standard of horticulture and art we have seen, and the displays our exhibitors have put on this year have been outstanding," said RHS senior shows development manager Lucinda Costello.
