The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) has launched its Young School Gardener of the Year award, recognising the efforts of school pupils who are keen to get to work outdoors with the garden tools.
Blue Peter gardener Chris Collins called on people all over Wales to put the names of any youngsters forward who they think may be worthy of a nod.
Last year, 11-year-old Lucas Hatch took home the top prize, impressing judges with his natural talent for gardening – as well as his extensive knowledge of horticulture.
Press interviews, newspaper features, TV appearances and trips to RHS shows have filled the past 12 months for all of last year's finalists – so a nomination could be a big moment for a green-fingered enthusiast.
"This award is a touch of genius and reflects on the RHS commitment to get schools growing and all things associated with the magical world of plan," Mr Collins remarked.
