Two great new Mountfield ride-ons for the New Year

Next summer may seem an age away but new garden machinery is currently being announced, and here are two ride-ons manufactured by a leading company which we think will be hugely popular next year.
They arrive with us early in 2013 but it is worth ordering one now as they are bound to be in demand especially at these prices

The first of the new ride-ons is the Mountfield 827M Compact Lawn Rider.
Power is from Mountfield’s own 196 cc engine which has a key start and the machine has four forward and one reverse gears and is easy to manoeuvre around the garden with a 66 cm cutting width.
Cutting heights vary from 25 to 80 mm and there is a 150 litre grass box, but you can buy an optional mulch kit as well if you want to put the chopped up clippings straight back on to the lawn. The grass box can be emptied from the driver’s seat.
There is also an optional trailer hitch.
The best bit is the price as we have it for sale for £1099, £100 less the Mountfield’s recommended retail price.

The Mountfield 827H Compact Lawn Rider is a similar machine – with the company’s own engine and 66 cm cutting width – but this one has hydrostatic transmission – an great feature on a ride-on at this price.
This transmission drives the ride-on much as an automatic car, press your foot down on the accelerator to go faster and ease off the pressure to slow down.
This makes it easier to drive around trees and garden benches you’re likely to encounter.
There are six cutting heights, a 150 litre grass box emptied from the driver’s seat and an optional trailer hitch to turn a ride-on into an all year round garden tractor.
This one costs £1299, again £100 off the maker’s recommended retail price.
