The winner of the Best in Show garden at the Royal Horticultural Society's Chelsea Flower Show Cleve West has been widely praised for his work.
Editor of the Saturday i newspaper and garden blogger Victoria Summerley was granted a private view, which she detailed in an article for the Independent.
She expressed her admiration for "lots of little vignettes of planting" and the variations and contrasts in texture.
"There are also injections of colour, from the peonies, to the euphorbia," she commented.
A great deal of attention has been paid to colour in gardens of late – particularly with the London Olympic Games just around the corner.
Indeed, some regions have been launching initiatives encouraging local gardeners to plant flowers that will grow in the official Olympic colours in time for the event – such as the Growing 4 Gold competition from the Wokingham Borough Council.
Those who are keen to follow this trend could make their task much easier with the use of garden tools from MowDIRECT!
