The Royal Horticultural Society is encouraging green-fingered Brits to get to work with their garden tools in advance of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
It is hoped that between June 2nd and 10th, people will be able to show off their finest work, which could inspire other people to get gardening.
Garden Wisley will be trying to get more people – particularly children – to participate in activities throughout the week, which also falls on a school half-term.
This is not the only special event planned for the royal landmark, as the Woodland Trust is planting six million trees across the UK this year to mark the occasion.
At Garden Wisley, a Best of British Garden Party will be held in order to celebrate many of the great aspects of national character.
A giant, colourful willow sculpture of fruit will also be on show in the relaxed atmosphere of Seven Acres, which could inspire gardeners to do something creative with their own vegetable patches.
