Prince Charles has underlined the importance of getting young Brits to take to the outdoors and get to work with their garden tools.
He is not the first important state figure to express his love for gardening, as the first lady of the US Michelle Obama is publishing a book on the topic next month.
Students of horticulture and agriculture at Chichester College have been presented with the Best At Show award in the Young Gardeners of Year competition at the Ideal Homes Show, local newspaper the Chichester Observer reports.
They also received the gold award for their garden entry and the Prince of Wales said he was very impressed by the high standard of all entries, but the work of the winners stood out from all the rest.
"I am so pleased that a new generation of gardeners are showcasing timeless traditional landcraft skills such as dry stone walling. We don't want them to die out," he commented.
