Mountfield are Britain’s favourite petrol lawnmowers and in conjunction with the manufacturer we shall in the 2008 season be delivering all petrol lawnmowers from this leading brand fully assembled, tested and ready to use.
We have just launched the 2008 range of Mountfield lawnmowers on the MowDIRECT site. It’s a great line up of value for money mowers offering plenty of choice no matter what type of garden or size of lawn you have. There’s also some really innovative new products designed to meet the needs of the modern home owner. So what’s new in the range?
The first products in the 2008 line-up really worth a mention are the new Mountfield ‘Quiet’ Petrol Lawnmowers. These low noise lawnmowers offer for the first time the power and convenience of a petrol lawnmower without the heavy noise pollution normally associated with this type of machine. Employing innovative sound reduction technology, Mountfield ‘Quiet’ Petrol Lawnmowers run at around half the noise levels of a normal petrol mower and when standing a few yards away sound more like an electric mower. This is great news for anyone living in a built up area with neighbours to consider and who in past may have struggled with their electric mower but been put of upgrading to petrol because of noise considerations.
Also in our view set to take off in 2008 is the new expanded range of Multiclip Lawnmowers from Mountfield. These are dedicated mulching lawnmowers and will save you up to 30% on your mowing time due to the fact that there are no grass clippings to collect. MowDIRECT is enthusiastic about the benefits of mulching not just because of the convenience it offers but also because mulching represents a simple and effective way of keeping your grass green and healthy without the need to rely so much on chemical fertilizers.
Also new to the Mountfield line up of lawnmowers in 2008 are a range of Honda powered petrol rear roller lawnmowers. These steel deck models are hard wearing and offer a mid-price option for anyone looking to create that classic striped effect on their lawn. The benefit of as Honda engine is that they are very easy to start and amongst the smoothest running petrol engines around. Mountfield have also expanded their range of Honda powered 4-wheel steel deck petrol lawnmowers with two new models in the 2008 line up.
For those working to a budget, the new Mountfield ‘S’ range of steel deck petrol lawnmowers are an excellent choice. Available in two cutting sizes (41 cm and 46 cm) these lawnmowers offer a choice between push and self-propelled models and are ideally intended for small to medium sized properties.
If you do have a small-medium sized lawn and really don’t want to go down the petrol route, Mountfield now also offer a comprehensive range of electric powered lawnmowers suitable for areas of ground up to around 30m x 30m. The advantages of electric lawnmowers over petrol lawnmowers are that they are simple to operate, quiet running and easier to maintain.
A more general development worth just mentioning: Mountfield have expanded and developed the range of engines available for this season on their petrol lawnmowers. These engines feature on the Quiet, Multiclip and ‘S’ ranges mentioned above as well as a range of mid-price steel deck petrol 4-wheel lawnmowers. We have used the Mountfield engines on all of these lawnmowers and are happy to report to our customers that we found them really easy to start and particularly quiet running.
