Chipperfield HCTC Cultivator Attachment
A two-wheel tractor earns its keep when one engine does more than one job. The HCTC cultivator attachment is the other half of that argument: fit it to your Chipperfield HCT270P or HCT296D and the machine you use to cut back overgrown ground in summer becomes the machine that prepares your beds in spring.
Driven straight off the tractor's PTO, the rotating tines work down into compacted ground, break it open and leave a fine, even tilth ready to plant or seed. It is the same job you would otherwise do with a fork and a lot of patience — and on anything larger than a couple of beds, the difference is measured in afternoons rather than minutes.
What it's for
Cultivating is not only about turning soil over. Working compost, manure or fertiliser evenly through the top layer is what actually improves it, and the tines mix as they dig rather than simply lifting and dropping clods. On allotments, vegetable plots, flower beds and smallholdings that means better structure, better drainage and a seedbed that behaves itself.
