Sturdy Lawnflite mowers which leave an iconic striped finish

Lawns with a neat parallel stripe seem to be becoming more popular.
But to achieve this look you need a mower with a rear roller and American garden machinery specialists Lawnflite have three great models to choose from.
Lawnflite LF43PBR Push Rear-Roller Lawnmower is a solid little machine with a 43cm, 17in, cutting width and it is powered by a Briggs & Stratton 140cc engine.
These engines are very reliable and easy to start and being a mower which you push along by hand, they are excellent for odd-shaped lawns and cutting nooks and crannies.
Cutting heights are from 15mm to 65mm – another advantage of a mower with a rear roller is that they offer very low cutting heights.
The rear roller is split to make it easier to turn and the cutting deck is made from polymer thus resisting corrosion and keeping the weight down.
There is also a mulch plug so you can deal with the clippings this way when the weather is suitable.
Delivered free the next working day with a two-year warranty it costs £299, £70 off the price recommended.
Lawnflite LF43-SPBR Self-Propelled Rear-Roller Lawn Mower is a similar machine with a 140cc Briggs & Stratton engine but this one is self propelled, making lawnmowing an easier task.
It has the same cutting heights – 15mm to 65mm – and a grass box which holds 55 litres and there is also a free mulch plug.
And being self propelled it is much easier to used when cutting thicker, less well-kept areas.
This one costs £349, £50 below the recommended price, has a two-year warranty and free delivery the next working day.
Lawnflite LF48-SPBR Self-propelled Rear-Roller Lawn Mower has a larger, 161cc, Briggs & Stratton engine, designed to be quiet when running and to be mean on fuel and emissions.
This one has a 70 litre grass box and with a 48cm cutting width is intended for use on larger lawns. Again the cutting deck is made from polymer to keep the weight down and resist corrosion.
The split rear roller which leaves the striped finish also makes it possible to cut right up to the edge of the lawn with the risk of the mower toppling into the flower bed.
This one costs £429, £120 off the recommended price and also has a two-year warranty and free next working day delivery.
