How do I disengage or reset the chain brake?
On most models of chainsaw, to disengage the chain brake you pull the chain brake handle sharply back toward the front handle, (nearly always back towards you if you are holding the machine blade forward) but it is always worth looking at your manual to double check this.
N.B. Always use protective gloves when carrying out this operation
