Always read the manual before using your pressure washer
Always check an inconspicuous area when using high pressure to check for possible damage or discolouration (e.g. on an old car with old paint when you are cleaning with a high-powered jet)
Store your hose carefully without kinks, to avoid problems later
Use a recommended detergent with your pressure washer
Check your filters, tubes and nozzles regularly to make sure all are working properly
If you have a petrol model, check the oil regularly
Keep your machine clean by regularly rinsing through it if you have used detergents or other cleaning agents
