What is a four-way splitter?

This is an additional tough metal wedge that sits between the log and the machine’s wedge/ram and allows you to you to split larger pieces of wood into to smaller logs in one move, saving you time and effort. It can be used to create kindling. (See image below)

 

 

N.B. This item will work most effectively with soft wood and logs that are easy to split and have a straight grain. It is not necessarily recommended for hard wood.
