Aimed at the top-end of the domestic market, the high-specification, Japanese-engineered Tanaka TBC-2390D is so well-built, it comes backed by an extended five-year warranty for homeowner use!
Producing a sizeable 1hp is a high-capacity 24cc air-cooled two-stroke engine with Tanaka's S-Start system that cuts resistance in the recoil-mechanism by a huge 50%; and their PureFire technology for low-emission operation with a noticeable cut in fuel-costs.
A solid-steel drive-shaft optimises torque-transfer and confers superior durability; while a capacious 0.4-litre tank works with the fuel-saving PureFire technology to ensure interruptions for topping-up will be few and far between.
Offering commercial-grade manoeuvrability, the Tanaka TBC-2390D Petrol Brushcutter is fitted with a 'cowhorn' handlebar which facilitates an efficient, low-effort lateral 'sweeping' motion.
It comes as standard with a line-head and brush-blade, so you can fit the one that best suits the application-type; and it boasts advanced anti-vibration measures that combine with its low-weight build (4.5kg) and shoulder-harness to make the job as comfortable as possible.
Also featured is a bump-feed system - simply tap the line-head on the ground and fresh cord will be spooled out. - Features

Tough MachineReview by g lee / (Posted on 19/06/2017)I've only used it a few times so far but have used a previous Tanaka model many times which is why I got this one. Easy start, easy to use and deals with tough ground easily. Assembly instructions take a bit of interpreting but if you know strimmers it's pretty straightforward.

BUT, to assemble it you really need to have worked with this kind of tool before. It is an assembly sheet rather than a booklet and it is aimed at several different models, some of them having (or missing) certain features. The language can best be described as Jenglish (Japanese translated into English using a junior school dictionary).
There is a considerable market in the USA, Canada, S. Africa, UK and elsewhere for for this excellent brushcutter. The manufacturer should invest in a professionally produced assembly/maintenance manual for these markets.Features

ExcellentReview by Nick / (Posted on 30/05/2014)Great machine. My brother had one for nearly 10 years without a problem, so I bought one the same. Cuts through bracken and brambles with ease using the flex.
Not used the brush cutter blade yet. Cow-horn handles much better if using for a large area.
Only criticism is the assembly instructions are a bit vague and difficult to follow, but its not technically complex. Cheaper than a Stihl that I was considering.Features
