Key to its class-leading performance is a 452cc Stiga ST 500 four-stroke air-cooled engine that produces a muscular 11.4hp, and which benefits from an emission limiting and economy optimising overhead-valve formation.

An electric key ignition does away with the need for tiring pull-starts; a steel cylinder-sleeve delivers both optimised compression and rock-solid long-term reliability.

The Stiga Tornado 5108 Garden Tractor is a versatile, two-in-one machine offering side-discharge and mulching-modes, with the former ideal for overgrown meadow-grass, and the latter suitable for well-maintained formal lawns.

It boasts powerful LED headlamps, which provide essential illumination in murky conditions; and it’s equipped with two anti-scalp deck wheels for turf protection when turning on uneven terrain.

The transmission on the Stiga Tornado 5108 Side-Discharge Garden Tractor is hydrostatic - you'll speed up and slow down in infinite increments using a single foot-pedal, thereby making obstacle negotiation a breeze, and allowing you to concentrate fully on following your intended cutting-path.

A tow-bar - available separately - makes it possible to work with any of the trailed attachments in MowDirect’s extensive range; an adjustable vented seat and soft-grip steering wheel deliver a high level of driver-comfort.

Other quality features include a multi-stage cutting-height range for enhanced flexibility of use; a washing-link, which makes cleaning the deck’s underside a hassle-free operation; and a pivoting front axle, which ensures the cutter deck tracks the contours of the terrain.

This model can – providing it’s safe to do so – reverse with the blades engaged.
