Does a JobReview by Jon / (Posted on 08/08/2017)I bought this to handle the rougher and wider areas on our patch. While it does the job, I’m a bit disappointed with it. At least with the line head (I’ve not tried the blade), there is a fair bit of vibration on the shaft and despite trying different lines, I’ve not overcome a problem with the line welding together and not feeding.
Also, while I can’t put my finger on it exactly, it’s not as nice a machine as our smaller U handled Husqvarna 525RJX. It’s not that I feel the Stiga will fall apart, its just in handling, to me one feels “do the job” and the other feels “just right”. Of course this comment may be a touch unfair as an equivalent Husqvarna or Stihl would be considerably more expensive but I do have a sort of “get what you pay for” feeling with the Stiga.
