With this hand-propelled mulching-mower from Swedish brand Stiga at your disposal, you’ll no longer have to rake-up or bag clippings – instead Stiga’s Multiclip system ensures they’re so finely shredded that they’ll rot-down in quick-time, simultaneously feeding the turf with the nutrients that are essential for lush, verdant growth.

The Stiga Multiclip 550 Mulching Lawnmower is powered by a 139cc Stiga ST 140 engine that develops a beefy 2.22kW; and which employs overhead-valve technology so as to keep vibration, noise, fuel-costs and emissions to a minimum.

It’s a push-along mower, so you’ll be able to work around obstacles at your own pace; and it lets you choose between five preset cutting-heights (31 – 75mm), which means you won’t be caught-out by varying grass lengths and changing weather conditions.

A steel cutter-deck with a protective powder-coated paint finish confers outstanding durability; while Stiga’s provision of smooth-rolling ball-bearing mounted wheels ensures you’ll have no trouble pushing the mower over rough ground (ball-bearing wheels also have the advantage of not stiffening-up over time, as often happens with bush-mounted wheels).

Also featured is a safety-optimising Operator Presence Control, which ensures the blade is stopped when you’re way from the controls; and a foldable 'Fulcrum' soft-grip handlebar, which you can offset for easier mowing alongside walls and fencing.
