Product information

Description

With the time-saving Stiga Multiclip 47 Blue mulching-mower you don’t need to rake-up clippings or empty a grass collector. Instead cut-grass is finely shredded, so that when returned to the lawn-surface it will quickly wilt and disappear, releasing invigorating nutrients and moisture as it does so.

Powering the Stiga Multiclip 47 is a Stiga RS100 engine; a 100cc air-cooled four-stroke unit that develops a substantial 1.55kw @ 2800rpm); and which benefits from an overhead-valve (OHV) design that delivers a marked cut in noise, vibration, fuel-consumption and exhaust-emissions.

A five-stage cutting-height - adjustable from 31mm to 80mm - means a ‘just so’ finish is easily achievable; while a collapsible handlebar works to maximise available space in your storage area.

A straightforward hand-propelled machine, the Stiga Multiclip 47 Blue will prove ideal if your lawn has lots of trees, ornaments and flowerbeds to work around.

It has a rugged powder-coated steel cutter-deck at its heart, so rock-solid durability is assured; and it runs on ball-bearing mounted wheels that will continue to roll freely with age.

This mulching mower's 45cm cut makes it suitable for areas up to around 800m2.

Somewhat Disappointed I purchased this as a 'spare' mower as my main one - a Stiga Multiclip (earlier version) was temporary out of commission being repaired.(Pull cord had snapped!)

No problems in assembling and noticed immediately it is much much lighter. There is a primer to start it but after that no controls for engine speed etc. First cut went with no problems. However there is no carrying handle which makes adjusting the cutting level and also lifting when necessary, more difficult. The engine has a different sound to it (more tinny) and the whole machine feels a bit more flimsy.

The second time I used it, a few weeks later, the engine was not running smoothly and instead of an even revving sound it is now a Brmm, Brmm, Brmm noise. When investigating I found that the air filter was swimming in oil! Now this machine after just two uses is having to be checked over (I am not knowledgeable in mechanics!!)

Not exactly what I had expected as previous Stiga mowers have been near faultless. Perhaps I have just been unlucky?

Excellent Mower I have had basic petrol mowers for years and to be honest they have done the job. However, on my son's recommendation, I purchased this Stiga Multiclip, and have not been disappointed. It went together easily and included the oil which was great, but being critical the oil fill hole is not very accessible - I have several funnels and managed to find one that enabled me to pour the oil without spillage.

I've cut my lawns several times now since I purchased the mower and it is far superior to my old tired Champion. It is considerably lighter and because you're not adding to the weight with grass cuttings, it stays light; the build quality is excellent; it seems pretty quiet; easy to clean off after use; large cutting blade; faster because no grass box to empty. All in all, a great buy.

Good Machine So far this has been a really good machine. Starts well, mulches grass extremely well, it's light and easy to use and the build quality feels solid. I'm cutting a 2000 sq. meter lawn with it and it's actually much less hassle to use than the ride on mower and a commercial powered pedestrian mower that I used to use.

It's also good for narrow grass paths and amongst shrubs. I had thought of buying a larger and more expensive self propelled mower but glad I didn't bother now.

The only quibble is that it needs a lifting handle at the front, there isn't one and the only way of picking the machine up is to grab hold of the fairly flimsy plastic engine cover. I don't normally do reviews but this machine merits some good words.

Excellent Machine Delivery was great. Very easy to assemble with oil included - so just add fuel and go. Easy to start, surprisingly quiet whilst running.

Real bonus not to keep emptying collection bag. I have large garden with ride-on, this is for edges and difficult corners, absolutely perfect. Build quality looks fantastic, with maintenance should last years and years.

Purposely bought push version for difficult areas and is quite easy to move around. Will have a lot less strimming now... very happy.
