I purchased this as a 'spare' mower as my main one - a Stiga Multiclip (earlier version) was temporary out of commission being repaired.(Pull cord had snapped!)
No problems in assembling and noticed immediately it is much much lighter. There is a primer to start it but after that no controls for engine speed etc. First cut went with no problems. However there is no carrying handle which makes adjusting the cutting level and also lifting when necessary, more difficult. The engine has a different sound to it (more tinny) and the whole machine feels a bit more flimsy.
The second time I used it, a few weeks later, the engine was not running smoothly and instead of an even revving sound it is now a Brmm, Brmm, Brmm noise. When investigating I found that the air filter was swimming in oil! Now this machine after just two uses is having to be checked over (I am not knowledgeable in mechanics!!)
Not exactly what I had expected as previous Stiga mowers have been near faultless. Perhaps I have just been unlucky?
