- Good Solid Machine
Good Solid Machine My old one died so I hunted the market for a 150cc engine and the widest cut that was available on a push mower. Oleo-Mac is a name I have never come across before but the specification was beating all the competition with a bigger engine and at a fair price, so I took a chance.
It was easy to assemble and getting it together and ready to run took about a quarter of the time it took to read the 2 (?) manuals. The first cut across the lawn on the lowest setting was more of a shave so lifted the cutter, an easy job, and the next cut was fine for a winters growth.
It is a big machine and a bit heavy to turn but it looks as though it might last twice as long as my last one. I am more than happy at this stage and I think I might still be by the end of the summer.
- Pretty Happy
Pretty Happy Obviously built to a price but good value nonetheless, I would have thought reasonable maintenance should see it last 10 years or more. Good capacity box.
- Good value
Good value Great mower, easy to assemble, started with first pull after adding oil and petrol. Cuts very well and as easy to push as my 16 inch.
- Biggest at the Price
Biggest at the Price Delivery was excellent (less than 24hrs).
Just about agree with the first review. It is quite heavy but then it is just about the biggest push mower available. It seems well-built and has good wheels so is easy to push.
The grass box is tight to refit but on the other hand does not fall off every time you go over a bump like some mowers I've had.
One minor disappointment, the 5-year warranty is conditional on getting the mower serviced by an authorised dealer. As I have always serviced my own mowers, I have no intention of paying for a dealer service, so I'll have to hope nothing goes wrong.
- Good Value Mower.
Good Value Mower. The machine is easy to assemble. The trickiest bit being the grass box which snaps together before being secured with screws. It's heavier than my old machine, but is still easy to push, and it appears to cut well.
The only minor downside is how the grassbox is attached. The box on my old machine hooked onto two "lumps" on the back of the body, so with one hand you can lift the flap and with the other you just drop it into position. This machine has two hooks on the collector, and these hook onto a bar at the back that the flap hinges on. However, the spacing between these is a bit "tight", and you have to hook one side on first and "stretch" the box slightly to get the other side on. This has to be done while holding the flap up. After a couple of uses you can adjust your technique, but my previous mower was so much easier.
I would still recommend it though, as it has a much wider cut than anything else it the price range.
- Excellent machine for large gardens
Excellent machine for large gardens After much research I decided to take a chance on an unknown brand name which had more of the facilities that I needed; i.e. big cutting width large grass box and quieter operation, and this machine had all of them.
The quality is excellent - e.g. the grass box is actually screwed together so no more falling apart when the box is full.
Even though it is much bigger machine, I have no difficulty pushing it even through long grass and I certainly don't take as long to mow the grass. I also don't think I am using as much petrol as I did with the last machine. All in all very pleased I picked this one.
- A good sized budget mower
A good sized budget mower The lawn mower arrived quickly, was fairly easy to assemble and started first time! The engine is powerful enough to handle long grass and brambles. It appears to be well made, so hopefully it will last several years.
- Great machine for the price!
Great machine for the price! Needed a mower with the largest cut for the least amount of money, and this machine fits the bill perfectly!
Easy to use, relatively quiet and perfect for my very large lawn!
