After 2 years.....
I like my 1530h, but it's not been without it's problems since I bought it in May 2015. I've had a seized -starter motor, faulty seat inhibitor switch and 2 cutting deck drive belts.
To be honest, the drive belts were down to me, expecting a bit more than I should have in damp grass. Lesson learnt.
The machine has just come back from TGS after a major service, and now it fails to charge! I have a couple more checks to do, but it looks like I'm in for a new charger, and/or battery.
So. a couple or so niggles. Reverse cutting is a pain, with the press and hold 'Permission Button'. I'm going to fit a pair of rear view mirrors, and/or replace the button with a toggle switch!
The machine arrived with really sloppy steering, but that has been sorted on the last service. I'm also considering a bypass switch for the seat inhibitor, purely for maintenance reasons. *
Overall, it does the job. I sometimes wonder if I should have invested in a Gang Mower, as the paddock needs cutting at least once a week in season! Whatever, I can live with it for now. Only my Son and I are allowed on it, as he now understands the Stall procedure, to protect the Cutting Deck Belt!
---* N.B. Inhibitor switches and 'permission' buttons are important safety features MowDirect do not recommend modifications such as those suggested---
