This high-quality but affordable cordless pole-hedgetrimmer from Redback employs the UK brand's own in-house-developed lithium-ion battery-technology and gives the power and performance of petrol without the polluting exhaust-emissions, neighbour-irritating noise and fatigue-inducing vibration.
The Redback E920DQ-4Ah comes equipped with a durable and fast-charging 4Ah battery that's compatible with all the machines from the extensive Redback 40v range (charger and weight-reducing battery-belt also included).
Combining a 90° rotating cutter-bar with an adjustable handle and telescopic shaft, the E920DQ-4Ah offers excellent versatility and can be set-up to suit any user and any hedge.
It's supplied with a single shoulder strap that works with the battery-belt to ensure you'll be able to complete extended sessions without tiring; and it features a lengthy 52cm blade-set that's double-sided for fast bi-lateral trimming; and which is laser-cut for super-clean results with no 'chewing' or discolouration.
So as to optimise control and manoeuvrability, the battery and motor on this model are positioned to act a a perfect counterweight. -

Just the Job. Top Marks. Cutter arrived quickly and well packaged. Put to use straight away as you can't leave a good toy!
It performed superbly and my garden trees, shrubs and hedges are looking very trim. The battery lasted a lot longer than my arms, even with a few cuppas and rests and the cut and reach is superb. I wish I'd bought one a long time ago is probably the best compliment I can add.
Buy one now it saves a lot of ladder work, risky reaching and most importantly time! -
All I Hoped For! This is a really excellent tool. Solid construction, very easy to set up and, more importantly, it worked perfectly cutting both fairly thick twigs and also soft leaves. The ability to vary the angle of the cutting head is invaluable.
The battery level only reduced by 25% after 15 minutes of constant use and the Power Belt certainly made a positive difference reducing the overall weight and balance of the tool.
At the special offer price this is excellent value for money but in comparison to other similar products would still be a good buy at the full price.
Very, very pleased with the tool and also quality service of the staff when I phoned twice to check the specification and it was delivered within a couple of days. -
Perfect Piece of Kit I have over 100m of 12' high conifer hedge which I keep very well cropped, neat and trim with a smooth finish. I have 6 different hedge trimmers, I am a 72 yr old lady.
This long pole trimmer is far and away the best of the lot. It is seriously fantastic and very easy to use. It means I can still cut the lot myself without having to resort to contractors - thus ensuring the annual job is done properly and in the neat manner I choose to maintain my hedges. I hope I have a few more "capable "years! as this is easy to use.
Really seriously excellent and I highly recommended. My neighbour is considering getting one as well, having seen this in action and "had a shot" herself. Our only problem here in the rural Highlands is coping with ferocious midges when the wind drops but even a wonderful hedge trimmer like this one can't circumvent that inconvenience. -
Caution The product performs well. It could do with better instructions but can work it out yourself with a bit of trial and error
My own fault, but when using it on full extension I caught a gutter bracket which, naturally, stopped the blades but when released and the blades ground to ensure no burrs the machine was jammed.
On inspection, it was found to have allowed the blades to jump and jam however I have had faith and bought another one -
Great Product Battery power excellent and harness provided well suited to reduce the overall weight. To date very satisfied with quality of build and performance.

Excellent Device Redback E920DQ-4Ah Cordless Pole-Hedgetrimmer is a good product that cuts well and gives an excellent finish. The print in the instruction book is ridiculously small!
Weedy people like myself will find it a little heavy in extended use.
