The Spectrum TG40S Petrol Lawnmower is equipped with a self-drive system, which means inclines, undulating ground and rough, tussocky grass can traversed with very effort required on the part of the operator.

It offers five preset cutting-heights (22 to 65mm), so you can adapt to condition changes through the growing season, and it’s fitted with a comfortable, ergonomically optimised soft-grip handlebar you can fold down if space is at a premium in your storage area.

The capacious 40-litre grass collector supplied with the Spectrum TG40S Self-Propelled Petrol Lawnmower is made from fabric - this allows surplus air to escape, in turn maximising bagging capacity. A hard top on the catcher limits the emission of hay fever-inducing grass pollen.

Also important on this machine is its steel cutting deck, which gives the mower a reassuringly solid and weighty feel; its sizeable rear wheels, which deliver grippy traction, and make it easier to manoeuvre in overgrown grass; and its ball-bearing wheels mounts, which, unlike lower-spec bush mounts, will keep the wheels free-rolling with age.

Power for the TG40S is provided by a compact - and therefore clean running and highly efficient - 139cc four-stroke overhead-valve engine.
