Product information

Description

The Oleo-Mac GS200E is a premium-quality chainsaw that offers class-leading specifications throughout. It comes with a powerful 2000w mains-electric motor and 41cm guide-bar, making it the ideal choice for a host of tasks around the garden, including pruning, limbing and sawing-up logs for the fire.

It has an automatic chain-oiler with a 0.2-litre reservoir for peak performance at all times; and an in-built safety thermal cut-out that prevents the motor overheating for a longer working-life.

The extra-high chain-speed (15m/s) makes this electric chainsaw a class-leader and ensures fast, clean cutting, thereby saving you time and effort.

Anti-vibration rubber dampeners minimize fatigue; while the ergonomic handles deliver maximum operator-comfort at all times.

Optimum operator-safety is ensured thanks to a palm-operated safety-switch that's positioned to eliminate any possibility of the machine starting-up accidentally.

There's also an innovative dual braking-system combining an inertia-brake with a second patented system designed to immobilize the chain in response to kick-back or a loss of control.

Supplied with a 10-metre power-cable, this lightweight machine is a genuine, hassle-free alternative to a petrol model and is available exclusively from MowDirect at our special low price.

Excellent for Cutting Firewood at Home Used all winter to cut firewood and has been faultless. I got this as did not want to use petrol chainsaw in the shed and has been perfect for the job, powerful and reliable. It is also more user friendly than the petrol chainsaw.

Just What We Wanted. For the discounted price, this is a bargain! Just have to put the bar and chain on and away you go. Used it a couple of times so far and only on 4 inch logs but like a knife through butter.

Been a few years since my petrol Sthil using days but found this surprisingly powerful, and quieter of course.

A Well Made Product Which I Hope will Last as Long as the Previous Model (8yrs) Well made assembly, though a little bit fiddly until you get used to it. Instructions could be a little clearer. However I have now had chance to use the saw and it works very well. I have used it for sawing 2inch to12 inch diameter logs

I would recommend it.

Brilliant I don't normally leave reviews but this is a great piece of kit at a great price. Cut through the logs like butter and so easy to use. Much easier than my old petrol chainsaw. Even the next door neighbour, who is a farmer and sceptical, had a go and loved it.

Great service from MowDirect as well, over all very pleased.

Good overall build quality and performance with safety features. Only criticism is the plastic log teeth on the front of the casing which will wear out pretty quickly. Normally these are metal on most other chain saws that I have seen and I have used both petrol engine and electric.

Ideal for logging at home Bought for logging previously felled trees. Very easy to use and excellent performance in cutting through a variety of logs of different sizes, and woods, with ease.

Good instructions, sturdy build and much easier to use than my previous petrol machine. Chain retained tension very well and oil feed seemed perfect. Lubricated without dripping.

Only issue was could not see oil-level through the opaque viewer so just topped up regularly.

Good performance, but fiddly chain and bar asssembly Overall, I'm very pleased with the performance. Before buying this model, I borrowed a neighbour's McCulloch, so my expectations might have been a bit high! Assembly was fiddly, and the instructions none too clear (the bar and chain assembly in particular - holding the bar in place whilst threading and tensioning the chain was difficult as a one-man operation). Unlike the McCulloch, the motor does run on a while after releasing the triggers (although the chain stops immediately). Oil top-up is fiddly, and the opaque oil level window means I cannot ascertain the exact level of oil in the reservoir. But it does the job well, sawing up log cords for a wood-burning stove like a knife through butter...
