The beefy 42.9cc air-cooled two-stroke engine on the Oleo-Mac GS-451 Petrol Chainsaw delivers a substantial 2.9hp to the 41cm cutting-gear, and combines a forged-steel crank with a two-ring piston and a nickel-plated cylinder to ensure unwavering reliability in the face of all-day, every-day use.

Other important engine features include EasyOn for almost effortless pull-starts; and a large-surface nylon air filter, which provides excellent protection against damaging, component-life-limiting debris ingress.

The Oleo-Mac GS-451 Petrol Chainsaw has been equipped with an automatic oil pump – made from lightweight, rust-resistant aluminium – which cuts running temperature, and facilitates a smooth cutting-action by providing a continuous flow of lubrication to the bar and chain as you work. The oil flow rate can be adjusted to suit both the timber density, and the ambient temperature.

Thanks to its rubber mounts and spring dampers, which work to lessen vibration transfer from the engine to the operator, the Oleo-Mac GS-451 Petrol Chainsaw will prove comfortable and easy to control for the duration of lengthy woodcutting sessions. Contributing further to user comfort is its non-slip-grip side handle.

In order to prevent accidental injury being inflicted in the unlikely event the saw ‘kicks back’, Oleo-Mac have furnished this model with an automatic chain brake, which brings the chain to an immediate halt the moment any inertia is detected.
