Enter the Oleo-Mac BV270; a high-quality European-built hand-held commercial-grade leaf-blower / shredder-vac with a homeowner-orientated price-point. This unit is professional enough to clear at speed, with its powerful 30.5cc two-stroke motor producing an air-jet of 234km/h with reduced noise, making it quiet enough to use in residential areas.
Capable of tidying and clearing large volumes of leaves, pine cones, twigs and other organic detritus easily and quickly, it's remarkably lightweight, making it easy to wield; and it produces minimal vibrations for greatly reduced user-fatigue.
Reliable and long-lasting, with a working life up to ten-times that of cheaper domestic models, blower-vac offers pro-spec features, including a vac-function with a four-bladed steel impellor - the steel blades shred the material while a secondary impeller/fan sucks in the shredded material. This is more efficient than vacs which rely totally on plastic impellers, which are not as tough or durable.
And what's more, this model comes with a large-sized 36-litre-capacity collection-bag that's attached when using the vac-function, collecting your shredded material, as well as a dedicated vacuum tube for effective suction.

Good All-Rounder A good solid leaf vac/ mulcher that clears a large site in very quick time, saving me lots of time. Performance is good as long as you follow instructions. Only problem with build is the discharge tube, which doesn't allow the machine to sit flat on the ground.

Good Bit of Kit. Easy to start. Easy assembly. Good waft on the blower. Vacuum works well on leaves jams on twigs but don't use it as a hand held chipper.
Instruction book longer than the bible so just skimmed the quick start guide.

Owned for a year Owned the machine for a year now. The motor is not up to the job and stalls constantly unless sucking up leaves very slowly, especially when damp. The cardboard-thin plastic has now broken through where the suction extension tube attaches at the impeller, rendering the machine useless.
The thin plastic impeller has also worn badly. I couldn't recommend anything about this machine apart from the fact that you do eventually get used to the awkward set-up in suction mode. -
Awful Bought this to replace my Stihl electric vac and regret it now. Difficult to start , its claimed to have a powerful engine but labours with modest leaf accumulations and worse still stalls and stops with a little more leaf volume. The metal munching impeller is small and not fit for purpose.
The collection bag is attached at a very strange an awkward angle, because or that you cannot lay the machine down flat it sits at 45 degree angle . So all and all this is a very poor machine, save your 200 plus quid , wish I had ! -
OK Starts and runs nicely and is quite quiet. Clogs fairly easily on wet leaves as a vac. Impeller is plastic, not metal. Blades in front of impeller are steel. Good sized bag.
