Brilliant Once I Got It Assembled.
Assembly was fiddly though not difficult really. I only have one small piece left over, but it seems to work fine without that! Fitting the mulching piece wasn't included in the instructions but there are good videos on the manufacturer's website about assembling it, and I did use those a lot.
Once assembled, it's brilliant to use. I bought it because I am not very strong and can't start the petrol one. I have two allotments and need to cut grass there regularly. I did both on 4 battery charges, though the grass was VERY long and wet.
On the second allotment most of it was covered with nettles and other weeds to above my knees - almost enough to need strimming really. This mower went through everything like butter. Using the self-propelled drive cuts down battery life, but it's easy enough to use that to cut forward and then pull back without the drive on. I was well impressed with how much I could do on one charge - I wasn't expecting it to cope at all with the tall weeds.
It doesn't have the staying power of the petrol one - you can't do the whole thing on one day. But you can easily recharge it and do some more next day. Charging is quick too. If you aren't strong, take the battery out before lifting it into the car. I can do that fairly easily once the battery is out, but with the battery in there's no way. I think the battery is just heavy enough to alter the balance somehow.
Very happy with my purchase, and who knows? I might one day discover where the left-over part goes!
