A premium lawnmower needs and premium engine, so Masport have equipped the 500 AL with a 163cc Briggs & Stratton 675 EXi power pack. These easy-starting four-stroke units are amongst the best small engines in production, and, thanks to their OHV formation, offer superior fuel economy with fewer noxious exhaust emissions and a marked cut in stressful noise.

Thanks to its push-type design, relatively compact 46cm cutting-width and lightweight build (31kg), the Masport 500 AL Hand-Propelled Petrol Lawnmower is excels in terms of manoeuvrability, and can be guided with ease around garden obstacles.

The Masport 500 AL has a rust resistant alloy chassis, easy zone start and a handy wash, the latter of which makes it easy to keep the underside of the mower clean.

The 500 AL is fitted as Standard with Masport’s Smart Chute, which enables the operator to switch rapidly from collecting to side/rear discharge.

Also of note on this model is its Quickcut™ swing-back blade system, which is designed to protect the crankshaft from damage, should the blade strike a solid object; and a low-vibration handlebar, which allows you to work for longer before fatigue sets in.
