Do I need long reach hedgetrimmers or a standard model?

As mentioned in the brief guides, along reach models are ideal for trimming and shaping tall or broad hedges to avoid the need for ladders or platforms. 

 

If you have to stretch at all to reach either the top, or the back of your hedge (and you can’t go around the hedge due to boundary issues) then you may well want to invest in a pair of  long reach Hedgetrimmers.
