Achieving a pristine bowling-green-style lawn used to be a time-consuming process requiring a great deal of dedication and know-how – that’s not the case since the introduction of this innovative and easy-to-use robotic lawnmower from Flymo.
It comes with a perimeter wire that you peg-out around the area you wish to be cut, before programming the mower to start work at the your preferred time via a large, easy-read digital display and 15-button key-pad. Once finished, or if the battery needs to be recharged, the mower will automatically return to its docking-station.
The Flymo 1200R Robotic Lawnmower cuts little by little in irregular patterns; an approach which, when used every day, will see your lawn become smooth and carpet-like.
It’s equipped with three seriously sharp pivoting blades that finely shred cut-grass, reducing it to tiny particulates that will furnish the turf with vital nutrients and moisture as they rot down; and it’s fitted with highly sensitive collision-detectors that will see it negotiate its way around an obstacle, should it contact one.
Powering the Flymo 1200R is a high-performance, no-maintenance lithium-ion battery that ensures dependable, energy-efficient operation; and which doesn’t suffer from the self-discharge and memory-effect troubles associated with less advanced lead-acid and nickel-cadmium units.
A powerful motor and optimised gearing mean inclines of up to 25% won’t prove a problem; while an automatic shut-off system works to ensure the safety of children and pets by stopping the blades if the mower is either tilted or lifted (a large manual stop-button is also featured).
With a rated noise-level of just 56dB (A) – around 40dB’s less than a petrol mower – the Flymo 1200R won’t annoy you or your neighbours.
It offers infinitely-variable cutting-height control (20-50mm), so you’ll be able to manage varying grass-lengths; and it benefits from pin-code activation that means theft is pointless.
This model runs for an impressive 60-minutes on a single 90-minute charge and is suitable for lawns around 400m2 (+/- 20%).
