Description

Exclusive to MowDirect in the UK, the high-quality but affordable Einhell LE-PM 51S HWT is equipped with a forward-mounted castor-wheel that works with optimised balance and extra-large rear-wheels to bring a new level of manoeuvrability to the walk-behind mower market - you’ll be able to negotiate trees, shrubs, ornaments and intricate curving borders like never before!

The castor-wheel also means scuff-free turns with no need to expend energy lifting the front of the mower clear of the ground.

The Einhell LE-PM 51S HWT Comfort-Turn Lawnmower doesn’t just excel in terms of handling, it’s also right up there when it comes to versatility, with its eight-stage cutting-height range and four cutting-modes working to ensure you’ll be able to manage the full array of British conditions (the cutting-modes are as follows: collection; mulching; rear/side-discharge).

Providing the power for this model is a large-capacity 196cc (3.75hp) Einhell four-stroke air-cooled engine with the German manufacturer’s overhead-valve (OHV) technology for superior fuel-economy with a marked cut in noise, vibration and exhaust-emissions.

Thanks to its generous 51cm working-width and roomy 70-litre breathable-fabric grass-catcher, the Einhell LE-PM 51S HWT offers excellent productivity and is therefore a great choice for large-area use (up to 1400m2).

A steel cutter-deck confers rugged durability and provides a rock-solid cutting-platform; while single-lever height-of-cut selection makes the pre-mowing set-up quick and easy.

The handlebar on the LE-PM 51S HWT has a blister-preventing soft grip and can be folded for convenient transport and storage.

Better Than You May Think Honest thoughts - it was a gamble for us as money is tight and the company can't afford to buy the wrong kit. Not a perfect set up as we have found it digs in when the ground is slightly rough such as pub gardens. The bag is a slight pain to hook on but isn't a big deal, it moves around so easily so trees, benches plants etc no problem.

The only big complaint I was given is the brackets for the handles so it can be folded away are not as good quality as the rest of the mower. Easy fix if you don't need to fold it is just bolt it tight.

Excellent Had this a few weeks now and love the ease of use. The 3 wheels make all the difference moving around obstacles etc, was a little fiddly to build but I did do it on my own (it may be a 2 Person job)

It's quite a heavy mower so does a great cut, but if you need to lift it into shed to store or up patio steps etc it may be a problem, but overall HAPPY! I've used MowDirect a few times now and can recommend them 100%

Fantastic Build Quality - Flawed Design. This is a bit of a strange review to write. The mower itself is excellent quality, really solidly built, starts first pull etc, so absolutely no issues there whatsoever. Went together easily so all looking good at this point. However, actually using it is a different matter. I chose this model as I plan to plant daffodils in the lawn, and wanted to be able to easily cut around them in the spring.

My lawn is on a slope, and has a few bumps and hollows in it. The problem with this mower is that because it is so easy to turn, it tries to turn down the slope all the time. As a result you have to constantly fight to keep it going in a straight line. This is where its' build quality and weight work against you. I'm a reasonably fit, strong guy, and by the time I had finished mowing the lawn (it isn't that big) I was a bath of sweat and completely knackered from fighting the mower's tendency to turn down hill constantly.

The other problem is that because of its 3 wheel design, if you encounter any bumps or hollows, the corners of the deck dig in, ripping chunks out of your lawn. A further problem is the fact that the front wheel squashes the grass down before the blade gets to it, so it doesn't get cut properly, so you have to go over the same section a couple of times to get a reasonable finish.

I really regret purchasing this model now, and really wish I had gone for one of the Enheill 4-wheel models instead.

If you have a perfectly level, flat lawn with no slope and need the easy-turn ability this would probably work OK for you, but if you have a lawn like mine then I strongly recommend you go for one of the 4 wheel models instead of this one.

Brilliant Delighted with this mower. Assembly was easy (although I missed a washer initially and the front wheel fell off, my fault entirely). It starts easily, even when warm, the drive seems powerful and I have used all the functions (collects and mulches and spits out the side). Love it.

Have a lot of grass to mow and most would use a ride-on (too expensive for me), this is a good alternative. Love it.

Quality Mower Delivered in two days of placing order. The mower is heavy at 33kg and as the mower comes with the handle detached but with the cables connected, it is difficult to remove from the box, so an extra pair of hands is needed or cut the box down the corners, fold it flat and roll the mower out. About twenty minutes of assembly and the mower is ready to use.

I bought this for the easy of manoeuvrability which is great. Unfortunately there is no speed control on the self propelled drive but it's easy to disconnect drive by letting the lever out and pushing around obstacles. To make use of the mulching facility the grass needs to be short and cut every two days, leave it any longer and it clogs up with big lumps of grass falling off.

Very well built and would be happy to recommend it and would buy it again, also very well priced compared to any other mower with this width of cut.

Easy Turn Mower I will shortly be moving to another house with lots of trees, flower beds and curved paths to negotiate and, as I desperately need a new self propelled mower, I thought that this would be ideal. It was also on offer at a very good price so I took the chance to buy it prior to moving.

The mower arrived within 48 hours of ordering. assembly was quite straightforward, in fact the most difficult part was extracting it from the box. After adding oil and fuel it started on third pull of the cord and subsequently on first pull every time.

I have only given the mower the briefest of trials, as I am keeping it for my next house, but I am confident that I have made the right choice as it appears to be well made and I have always been happy with Einhell garden machinery in the past.

Easy to Use Lawn Mower I purchased this model as I needed a large self-propelled mower for a garden which has flower beds in one area and trees in the other.

The initial putting it together was a bit fiddly single handed but manageable, and took about 20 mins which included reading and then rereading the manual. Once the petrol and oil were in it only took two pulls to roar into life.

I have now mowed the lawns with it three times and the positives are: The large cutting width, the large collection box a powerful engine and the single front wheel. All of these factors make cutting large gardens with numerous obstacles very easy to manoeuvre the mower around them.

The only negatives are - it would have been nice to have a speed adjuster as it is quite fast when in self propelled mode and the cutting height could have been slightly lower on the lowest setting . However, overall for the price, this mower does a very good job of making short work of mowing a garden that used to take over an hour with my old machine, - now done in forty minutes.

Excellent For Gardens That Need Manouvrability Delivery was first class, arriving the day after the order was placed. I did find the assembly was explained OK but its not a one man job and, be warned, you need to read the packing list and find all the parts before you start, as some are hidden inside the cutting area!!

So once assembled I filled with oil and petrol and tried to start... I found I couldn't even pull the start cord an inch, it felt like the engine was jammed. Went back and read the manual and found you have to hold the start lever and only then can you pull the start cord. It should also be noted that when you let go of the start lever the engine stops dead (safety feature).

So. My first cut. My garden is odd shaped and there are many trees to work around. The mower excelled at this compared to my old one, with there being only one wheel on the front you can cut in circles and in fact I have now started this a as feature cutting stripes around each tree.

So far very happy but only one cut before the rains have come. I will come back later after my next usage.
