Combining a high-performance 420w electric motor with an all-metal transmission, the Einhell GH-EC 4245 will out-perform and outlast many of the other electric hedgetrimmers in its price-bracket.
The motor powers a pair of two-sided dual-reciprocating safety-blades (51cm) that are precision-ground from top-grade steel. This not only means they’ll cut quickly and cleanly, but also ensures you’ll get more out of them before they need sharpening. The blades have a generous 16mm tooth-spacing and produce an impressive 3200 cuts per-minute.
The Einhell GH-EC 4245 Electric Hedgetrimmer is incredibly lightweight (just 2.98kg), ideally balanced and is equipped with an ergonomic auxiliary handle, so it couldn’t be easier to control and manoeuvre. Its lightweight design also allows for long periods of pretty much fatigue-free operation.
Thanks to its heavy-duty hand-protection shield and double-handed safety-switching (which stops the blades in less than one-second when your hand is removed), the Einhell GH-EC 4245 is one of the safest electric hedgetrimmers you’ll find.
Other key features include an aluminium blade-sheath, which protects the blades from moisture-damage when not in use; and cable-strain relief, which prevents accidental detachment of the plug from its socket.

Well balanced and light machine.Review by Jean / (Posted on 03/09/2013)This trimmer is well balanced, does not make my puny arms ache. I had nearly finished the hedge, on a trial run, before I realised I had done that much. Quality machine, the one down side is the screws structure, I assume it is a German type, but my husband managed to screw them with one of our normal screwdrivers. Perhaps a tool could be supplied which fits the screws accurately. Good length of lead supplied although I did need to use an extension lead as we have a very long garden.
