Product information

Description

Hack with ease through nettles, tall weeds, scrub and bramble with this high-performance petrol brushcutter from German manufacturers Einhell.

Powering it is a high-grade air-cooled two-stroke engine that boasts a substantial 42.7cc cylinder displacement; and which features Einhell’s Quick-Start technology, whereby an easily accessible manual fuel-pump and an automatic choke make the ignition process quick and simple.

The Einhell GH-BC 43AS Brushcutter employs a fully adjustable ‘U’ (or ‘bike’) style handlebar that delivers low-effort control and manoeuvrability.

It utilises a dual ball-bearing mounted crankshaft that works to minimise vibration for long hours of comfortable brushcutting; and it’s built around an aluminium shaft that brings a marked reduction in weight, while delivering strength and inherent rust-resistance.

As well as a three-tooth metal brush-blade, the Einhell GH-BC 43AS also comes with a twin-line grass-trimming head that features an automatic-jog mechanism for fast, hassle-free cord-feed.

A centrifugal clutch stops the cutter-head when the engine is at idle so as to optimise the safety of the user and those in the vicinity; while a split shaft means no problems when it comes to transport and storage.

Features

  • A very high-powered domestic-use brushcutter for tough landscaping tasks

Cheap & not very Cheerful Awful ergonomics for a person of average height, shaft too short, handlebars too small . No controls to tune carburettor, after 2 yrs, the machine would not idle when hot.

Powerful, Robust and Easy to Use, Great Value for Money Super service from MowDirect, very quick delivery and arrived at the time specified by the courier - not bad for deepest rural Cornwall.

Assembly instructions are pretty useless but it's easy enough to figure out what goes where.

A few minor quibbles - not easy to get the handlebars and harness adjusted to a comfortable position and the throttle grip position induces an aching hand after a short time. Heavy and noisy (get a good pair of ear defenders before using it) but this is a machine for tough jobs, not trimming a couple of metres of lawn edge.

A good investment if you have a large area of overgrown scrub and brambles to keep under control.

Good Machine Once Carb Adjusted First class delivery from MowDirect and well packaged.

However, when using the brushcutter blade the machine would 'bog down' when going above half throttle and would cut out completely on full throttle. Checked on you tube for these symptoms on strummers, and found out that it could be a carb adjustment problem. Only one brass adjustment screw on the carb which needs a special tool. Undaunted, I managed to unscrew it just under half a turn using the tip of a needle file. It now develops full revs and throttles up without hesitation.

Einhell Brush Cutter First class service from the company on despatch and delivery.

Not so first class with the actual strimmer. Handbook falling apart, the thread for the screw to hold the handlebars in needed re-tapping as no way would it tighten as it is.

Also the stop start switch doesn't work, luckily stays on all the time so strimmer started ok. But when it came to stop it, it wouldn't. The only way to stop it at the moment is to block the exhaust.

Have only trued it with the brushcutter so far and yet to try the strimmer head.

Good product This is my second strimmer from this manufacturer. It is easy to use and does a good job in long grass, nettles and brambles.

Build quality does not seem to be as good as previous model.Time will tell. Once again service from MowDirect has been second to none.

A good brush cutter. Easy to get going straight from the box. Very quiet in operation but quite a powerful cut.

Control trigger resistance is quite strong, which can lead to an aching hand after a short while compared to my other brushcutter.

The supplied harness is not for those who are vertically challenged.

But well built, very quiet and powerful and a large capacity fuel tank.
