This ultra-robust and hugely powerful flail-mower from Efco is designed for the very large-scale clearance of dense undergrowth from verges, steep slopes, ditch banks and other areas that would be difficult to access with a standard handheld or wheeled brushcutter.
It’s fitted with a 389cc Honda GX270 engine; a commercial-grade unit that’s rated at a muscular 11.7hp.
A cast-iron cylinder-sleeve and a dual-element air-filter work to maximise engine-life; while an automatic decompression system ensures starting is fast and hassle-free.
The Efco DR65-HR-11 Professional Flail Mower employs a set of 38 ‘Y’-shaped flail-blades that will scythe effortlessly through dense, well established scrub and brush.
It’s equipped with a heavy-duty cutting-unit that’s supported by reinforced bearings and shields, so accidental knocks won’t cause any damage; and it features an adjustable height-of-cut (20-80mm), which is controlled via a lever conveniently positioned on the handlebar.
Thanks to its four-speed (3 + 1) transmission, the Efco DR65-HR-11 can be adapted to suit both the type of terrain you’re operating on and the nature of the vegetation you’re clearing (the inclusion of a reverse gear makes repositioning easy). The transmission is oil-bathed and housed in a reinforced gear-case for exceptional long-term reliability.
Highly manoeuvrable, the Efco DR65-HR-11 has a pair of pivoting front wheels that can be locked into place, in turn enabling you to maintain a precise cutting-line on adverse terrain. The steering handlebar incorporates all the main controls and is adjustable in terms of both height and width for maximum operator comfort.
This model has a substantial 65cm working-width.
