As salt is a corrosive product, we highly recommend washing down with warm water after every use. Pay attention to the hopper, the gears, the frame and the hopper plate. It is strongly advisable to dry the spreader off to prevent rusting. A spray with a product such as WD40 is also helpful to keep the gears and wheels moving freely.
