Chainsaw Chain with 3/8" Pitch

The most common size of chainsaw chain available, 3/8" Pitch saw chain is used on chainsaws ranging from home user models to high-powered forestry saw. Depending on the saw, the gauge of the chain - that is the thickness of the part of the chain which sits in the groove of the guide bar - will be between .043-.063" (1.1-1.6mm). You'll probably find it difficult to measure this accurately and we would advise you consult your manual for the correct information.
