Cordless mowers will be the big talking point with the latest battery technology advances meaning that all sizes of lawns are now within their reach.
Mowers with the latest lithium-ion batteries are far lighter than petrol-powered ones, emit no smelly and harmful emissions and are not tied down by a power cable.
How many of you have used one powered by mains electricity and then mown over the cable? OK, well maybe it’s only me.

The Redback E137CQ-2Ah Cordless Lawnmower is a machine we helped to develop with a 40V battery and 2Ah power cell and designed to cut a small to average lawn up to 400m2.

The cutting width is 37cm, there are five cutting heights and a grass box which holds 40 litres.

This one lets you collect the cut grass, mulch it and discharge at the back and it light and easy to push along with a polypropylene cutting deck which has a built-in grass comb to smooth the grass before it is trimmed, giving a more even finish.
There are six cutting heights and a 40-litre grass box.
It costs £369, £50 off the recommended price and is delivered FREE within seven working days with a two-year warranty.
These three are made with smaller lawns in mind but if you have a larger one you’re not left out.
This top of the range mower has a 52cm cutting width and is powered by a 56V motor and a 7.5Ah lithium-ion battery.
The EGO LM2122E-SP Power+ Self-Propelled Cordless Lawnmower has a run time of 50 minutes and re-charges in 60 minutes.
There are six cutting heights and a variable cutting speed so you set the speed at which you mow. And the high torque means the mower will easily cut thicker longer grass.
It even has a pair of headlights for mowing in the murk and the grass box holds a massive 70 litres and as well as collecting the clippings you can mulch them and discharge at the back.
It is built around a polypropylene cutting deck which keeps the weight down and is easy to clean after use.
