Mower of the Week: McCulloch M53-160DW High-Wheel 4-in-1

This mower, exclusive to Mowdirect, is one of the bargains of the year if you have a medium-sized to large lawn to keep in trim.
The McCulloch M53-1160DW has a really top class engine, Honda’s GCV 160 which has been designed to be very easy to start and to run quietly.

There are four options of dealing with the clippings. They can either be discharged at the back or at the side, useful when dealing with longer grass, collected in the 71 litre grass box or mulched and returned to the lawn where they rot down.
The cutting width is 53 cm and the drive is to the front wheels making it easier to use during tight turns as there is no need to disengage the drive.
It has five cuttings heights from 25 mm up to 82 mm and the wheels are mounted on proper ball bearings so they won’t stiffen as the mower gets older.
The maker’s recommended retail price for this mower is £449 but we have it for sale for £369.
It has a one year warranty from McCulloch and the mower is delivered free the next working day.
