Enterprise manager of the National Trust's Scotney Castle Joe Lloyd has suggested that more and more people could be set to pick up their garden tools and get to work outdoors this year.
He added that homeowners might be set to take advantage of their own green spaces in the holiday seasons.
Indeed, increasing numbers of Brits are believed to be focusing on their planting habits right now, as National Gardening Week is currently underway and runs until April 22nd.
Mr Lloyd claimed that this could have the added benefit of really bringing out the best of local areas, as their residents will appreciate what they have.
"If anything, it brings in a real spirit of getting together and linking up with your local community," he explained, stating that people are also staying closer to home when they go on holiday, citing this as the wider trend driving the growing uptake of gardening.
